Broadband Internet (IP) Alarm Monitoring
Have your alarm monitored by SafeGard over your INTERNET connection
No need for a landline, no cost for calls, future-proof your alarm

What is IP Monitoring?
In normal situations a Monitored Alarm connects with the Monitoring Station through a standard phone line. Whenever there is an ACTIVATION, the alarm 'phones' the Monitoring Station and informs them of events.
But not all homes and businesses have Landlines any more. Which makes Alarm Monitoring difficult and expensive (using cell phone technology).
IP (Internet Protocol) Monitoring is when the alarm communicates with the Monitoring Station through an Internet Connection, without any need for a landline or a cell phone, and without tying up a phone line.
What does IP Monitoring entail?
To set up for IP Monitoring all that needs to happen is a small device is installed into the alarm and a cable is run to the Router or Modem.
Can it be added to existing alarms?
Most existing alarms can be set up for IP Monitoring. Some older models might not accept the additional circuitry.

What does it cost?
SafeGard can supply and install IP Monitoring in most circumstances for $495. The only variable is the type of alarm athe physical barriers for the cable to be routed to your Router/Modem.
What is the ongoing cost?
Nothing. The bandwidth requirement is negligible and there are no call charges over the Internet. If your alarm has been preventing you from disconnecting your landline, the savings made from your telephone supply charge can pay for your Alarm Monitoring!
